DELINQUENCY ACCOUNTS:

  1. All tuition is due by the selected due date. Tuition becomes delinquent one day past the due date, at which time a $50 late fee will be assessed to your account.  The financially responsible party will be notified by an email or phone call from SMART Tuition.  A plan for bringing past due accounts current will be developed between the financially responsible party and the System Director.
  2. Once a plan for paying tuition going forward has been agreed upon, should the account become past due by an additional 30 days, students will be prevented from attending school.
  3. All past due tuition shall be paid prior to registering for the next school year.  If past due tuition is not paid, the student(s) will not be allowed to register for the next school year.
  4. If a family has not met all of their financial obligations to SMSS, including past due tuition; records, report cards, and transcripts will be held until the account is paid in full.  Also, the student(s) will not be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies.
  5. Accounts which are severely past due will be turned over to a collection agency.  Past due accounts of families who have left SMSS will also be turned over to a collection agency.
