Spiritual Life

Our Christ-centered community welcomes students of other faiths.  Currently, approximately 18% of students are of other faith disciplines.  We are a diverse community that celebrates that we are all children of God!

Daily Prayer
Catholic schools are faith-based communities where belief in God is part of the everyday environment.  The school day begins and ends with prayer and students are given other opportunities throughout the day to pray.

School Masses
An integral part of Catholic faith formation is regular attendance at Mass, where students are responsible for ministerial roles during these Masses.  It's a great way to pray together as a school community!  The music is led by the St. Mary orchestra and choral groups.

Retreats
St. Mary offers students in every grade the opportunity to participate in class retreats.  These are all-day activities that allow students to grow in their faith while building class bonds that will last long after they have graduated.  Students participate in prayer and quiet reflection, as well as community building and educational activities.  These retreats help students develop strong character.  As a result, students leave St. Mary as well-rounded young people, uniquely equipped to face life's challenges.

Sacramental Preparation
Catholic students are prepared for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation in their religion classes.  Students receive the sacraments in their home parishes.  Contact your parish office for preparation classes.

Christian Service

"Love they neighbor" becomes real in the busy life of children and teenagers at St. Mary.  Students are encouraged to live a faith-filled life through Christian Service commitments.  We consider it our duty and privilege to help strengthen the faith foundation of the next generation of apostles as we work together with all our families and parishes to reach this goal.  Once a student enters high school, he/she is required to perform Christian service.  Students may do volunteer work at any non-profit organization, At St. Mary, or at churches.  A total of 75 hours is a graduation requirement.
